Birger Hall is the home of Alumni Services, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Development and Public Affairs, and the SIUE Foundation. In addition to office space, the building includes conference rooms, a visitors’ center, a library, banquet facilities, and a deck and a patio, both overlooking Cougar Lake. The building was made possible through the generosity of the late B. Barnard Birger, a businessman, philanthropist, former member of the SIU Board of Trustees, lifetime resident of Southern Illinois, and long-time supporter of SIUE.
