You may apply for financial aid online at www.fafsa.ed.gov or obtain a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) from your current college. Our financial aid code is 001759. Complete the form by the preferred filing date and mail it to the address indicated on the form. Scholarship information is available at www.siue.edu/financialaid. Another award, Phi Theta Kappa, is offered on a very competitive basis. Transfer students who are members of PTK should obtain an application from our financial aid Web site.
| December 1 | Complete and submit your admission application and (scholarhip applications where appropriate) to ensure consideration for most scholarships. |
| January-February | Prepare your tax returns; complete your FAFSA online at www.fafsa.ed.gov (Title IV code-001759) |
| March 1 (Priority Deadline) |
Submit your FAFSA to ensure consideration for all aid programs administered by SIUE. |
| March – May | Respond quickly when information is requested of you. |
| April | SIUE begins sending financial aid award letters. Please sign and return your award letter as soon as possible. |
| July | Claim your award as a credit against your fall semester bill. |
