SIUE Honors Scholars Program
The Meridian Scholars Program
The Meridian Scholars Program is a premier program offering scholarships to students with strong academic ability and a record of personal achievement, leadership, service and special talents. Many valedictorians, salutatorians, and other top students who have earned at least a 27 ACT or 1200 SAT and at least a 3.75 high school grade point average or rank in the top 10% of their high school graduating class compete for this award.
Meridian Scholars receive an eight-semester, renewable scholarship that pays in-state tuition, mandatory fees, housing at a residence hall at the shared room rate and Meal Plan A. In addition, Scholars are automatically admitted into the Honors Scholars Program, in which you can help design a curriculum to explore your intellectual interests.
For consideration, an applicant must be an entering freshman and submit:
- an application for undergraduate admission by December 1
- the Meridian Supplemental Profile by December 1
- ACT or SAT scores
- an official copy of his/her high school transcript indicating rank in class at the end of the sixth semester or later.
