Admitted Students

Note to newly admitted students: Your indication of an intended major on your online application for admission provides SIUE with your academic interests so that we can provide you with information related to your potential major. After you submit your application for admission, all references to your “Major” and “Degree” in the Application Summary will still indicate “Undeclared,” regardless of the intended majors you indicated on the online application.

SIUE does not direct declare new undergraduate students at the time of admission, except for some transfer students with an earned degree and some returning students. You will have an opportunity later to discuss the process of declaring your major and degree.
