MEDIA LOG
The Media Log contains a listing of criminal activity as well as traffic violations occurring within the SIUE Police Department’s jurisdiction. The Log is an official document of the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Police Department. The information herein shall not be edited or altered in any manner.
The Log is accurate as of the date of preparation; however, incident dispositions may change due to follow up investigations and will be updated in the next Log publication. An entry may be withheld from the Media Log if disclosure of such information is prohibited by law or such disclosure would: (a) jeopardize an ongoing criminal investigation or the safety of an individual; (b) cause a suspect to flee or evade detection; or (c) result in the destruction of evidence. In such cases an entry will be made as soon as the investigation is complete.
A hard copy of the Media Log is available for review by the general public 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at the SIUE Police Department located on Supporting Services Road at the Edwardsville Campus.
Any indication in this Log that an individual has been charged with a crime indicates only that a charge has been made and is merely an accusation and the individual is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
