Professional Learning

Come stretch yourself professionally this summer. PBWP offers an innovative community-based 6-hour Saturday workshop series for K-12 teachers that integrates writing and inquiry to explore Moon Journals, St. Louis Botanical Garden, St. Louis Art Museum and our Neighborhoods Stories. Each hands-on and experiential session delves into writing as inquiry, art and the craft of  engaging students to become noticers and journalers of their lived experiences. Learn to make students' cultural landscapes as powerful spaces for learning.

Books, materials and resources will be provided along with continuing professional development units. This series is aligned with Missouri and Illinois State standards for student and teacher professional learning. Learn more by reading below. Questions can be sent to rcordov@siue.edu or 618-650-3427
