This summit is being planned based on continued need for improvement in the education on pain management and palliative care provided by pharmacists. The provision of this care may be from any setting and encompass a wide range of scope of practice. To effect change in the preparation of pharmacists to provide care to this population, the effort must be considered across a continuum .
This summit will use a break-out style format. Summit participants may select desired workgroups upon registration. Each workgroup will have predefined goals and objectives. Recommendations from each workgroup will be presented in a plenary session at the conclusion of the summit. The various workgroups are listed below:
