The residency and fellowship workgroup will review currently available standards for a variety of residency and fellowship experiences available to pharmacists. Specifically, model language will be drafted for presentation to the American Society of Health Systems Pharmacy (ASHP) for inclusion into post-graduate year (PGY)-1 residency accreditation. Additionally, current standards for PGY-2 residencies (pain and palliative care, geriatrics, oncology, ambulatory care, primary care, internal medicine, etc) will be reviewed and model language recommended. Standards for pharmacy pain and palliative care fellowships will be drafted as well.
