Dr. Katie Ronald is a clinical associate professor and assessment coordinator with the Department of Pharmacy Practice. She also holds a joint appointment with the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Ill., where she participates in multi-disciplinary teaching rounds in the medical intensive care unit at Memorial Medical Center. Dr. Ronald received her doctorate of pharmacy in 2006 from St. Louis College of Pharmacy. Following graduation in 2006, she completed a general pharmacy practice residency with focus in critical care at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, Wis. Dr. Ronald’s areas of interest include appropriate treatment of sepsis and health-care related infections, as well as, ICU sedation and analgesia.
