Kelly Gable, Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice, received the Service Person of the Year Award from Community Alternatives in St. Louis, MO.  Community Alternatives is a not-for-profit corporation that provides services and care to individuals with mental health disorders.

Jennifer Niemerg joins SIUE as Clinical Assistant Professor and will be working in the ambulatory care clinics with Southern Illinois Healthcare Foundation in Belleville, IL.
Misty Gonzalez joins SIUE as Clinical Assistant Professor and will be working with the Department of Psychiatry in the SIU School of Medicine in Springfield, IL.

McKenzie Ferguson joins SIUE as Assistant Professor and will be working in the Express Scripts Drug Information and Wellness Center in Edwardsville, IL.

Teri McCullough, Clinical Assistant Professor and Assistant Director of Experiential Education, was awarded a Meridian Society Grant for $1,349 to support “Nutrition and Physical Activity Education” which will serve as the spring 2010 Service Learning Project for the incoming pharmacy class.

Lakesha Butler, Clinical Assistant Professor, was awarded a SIUE Excellence in Undergraduate Education Grant for $2,420 for a proposal entitled “Instructional Video Design for Health Literacy Course in the Pharmacy Curriculum”.

Chris Herndon, Assistant Professor, has been designated a Certified Pain Educator (CPE) after being credentialed by the American Society of Pain Educators (ASPE).

Bill Wuller, Clinical Assistant Professor and Director of Experiential Education, has been promoted to Clinical Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice.

Chris Lynch, Associate Professor and Southern Regional Coordinator, has been promoted to Professor of Pharmacy Practice.

Erin Timpe, Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Director of Drug Information, was a 2008-2009 Teaching Recognition Award recipient for SIUE.

March 26, 2009
Bill Wuller, Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Director of Experiential Education, was the 2008-2009 SIUE Teaching Distinction Award recipient.  The university selection committee specifically noted his mastery of the discipline (pharmacy) and his ability to engage students in active learning.

January 5, 2009
Congratulations to Drs. Lakesha Butler, Katie Ronald, and Stacey Thacker on passing the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) exam and becoming Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialists (BCPS).
