About SSHP

The SIUE Student Society for Health-Systems Pharmacists (SSHP) chapter is a student organization associated with the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and the Illinois Council of Health-System Pharmacists (ICHP). The mission of both the national and state organization is to improve the use of patient’s medication therapy by supporting pharmacy practice advancement. The SIUE SSHP adopts this mission as well:

• Striving to make students aware of pharmacy practice in health systems;
• Providing information to students about career directions in and credentials needed for pharmacy practice in health systems; and
• Encouraging membership and participation in the state and national organizations as student and upon graduation
