SIUE’s Nursing program is now at two sites, the Edwardsville and Carbondale campuses! The First pre-nursing class is scheduled to start at the Carbondale campus in the Fall, 2009 Semester. The first nursing class will be admitted to the Carbondale campus in Fall, 2010. Applications for the Carbondale pre-nursing cohort are still being accepted. Assistant Professor Dr. Pam Newland has been awarded the Outstanding Scholar Award from the St. Louis VA Medical Center. This is a very prestigious award within the VA system and is given to individuals who are considered to be outstanding professionals in the field of health care education. Moreover, the award is given to individuals who display a commitment to learning and scholarly activity, along with compassion and understanding of veteran issues.
