Nurse Educator

The Master’s Program for the Nurse Educator prepares nurses with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing for a role in Education.  This role includes positions in various schools of nursing, health care facilities, hospitals and community health departments.

The Nurse Educator specialization provides students with the theoretical and practical background needed to function as a Nurse Educator or an entry level faculty member in a School of Nursing. Some online course work permits a more flexible schedule for students who are employed or live long distances from the campus. The NE specialization courses are 85% online.  The specialization’s curriculum is also available as a part-time or post-master’s certificate program of study. Please refer to the Nurse Education Progression Guide for required courses
