Greetings from the Dean

With each newsletter we send out, it is exciting to share how the SIUE School of Pharmacy is educating and inspiring healthcare professionals to think across disciplines and make a difference. The School has developed tremendously since its inception, and that’s credited to a team effort from dedicated and motivated faculty, staff and students. Our faculty model why it’s important to contribute to the community through their involvement in state and national leadership. Current students and alumni are also being recognized as leaders on national-level committees.

I recently had the opportunity to highlight the School’s mission and vision in this video. I hope you'll take a few minutes to view it, along with reading about some of our recent accomplishments below.

As always, thank you for your continued support for the School.

Best regards,

SIUE Police, School of Pharmacy Partner to Take Back 24 lbs. of Prescription Drugs

The SIUE Police Department and School of Pharmacy collected 24.2 lbs. of prescription drugs in a drug takeback program Saturday, Aug. 12 during Edwardsville’s Goshen Market. It was the largest amount collected this year in the program.

The takeback program provides a safe alternative to disposing approved medications, thereby keeping the medications out of children’s hands, landfills and water supplies.
