Thank you for submitting an application for the Competitive Graduate Award (CGA).

Please keep in mind that your CGA application will not be considered until you also complete a graduate program (degree-seeking) application. All required documents for both applications must be uploaded by the January 15 deadline. If all application materials are not received by the deadline, your application will be considered incomplete and will not be reviewed by the committee.

All required materials can be uploaded in the application center. The following documents are required:

• Faculty Mentor Form
  • Must be signed by your SIUE faculty mentor.
• Scholarly Activities Research Plan
• Release of Information
• Letter of Recommendation 
  • Must be from someone who can speak to your ability to be successful in graduate studies
• Unofficial Transcripts
  • Must be uploaded to your CGA application
