3	Vision for the Future: A Tradition of Excellence for Student Success As SIUe continues to make substantial progress in the quest toward fulfilling our vision as a premier Metropolitan University and seeks to become nationally recognized for excellence, our success is dependent upon the continuous improvement of academic programs and related services. In order for SIUe to be recognized nationally for the excellence of its programs, it is essential to have student-centered academic resources and quality facilities that foster and promote student learning and maximize achievement.
4	Goals Create an environment that promotes a culture of success. Provide students with a comprehensive support system. Provide learning resources that are state-of-the-art. Promote small group learning communities. Provide student organizations with additional meeting facilities. Develop a one stop academic resource center .
