dmacdon@siue.edu | 618.650.3364 Denise joined SIUE in 1984 as office assistant for then-Campus Photographer Charlie Cox. She became Charlie’s apprentice and, under his leadership, learned the art and science of telling great stories with great photographs. As assistant, Denise first was a darkroom technician and then a photographer, continuing to hone her craft and eventually helping the SIUE campus transition to the digital photography world through her work with Campus Photographer Bill Brinson, who came on board after Charlie retired in 1986.
