Prairie Hall opened to freshmen students in August 1998. This hall is devoted entirely to traditional freshmen (age 18-20). Prairie Hall residents are encouraged to participate in the Freshmen Horizons Program, designed to help students succeed in their academic career and their new social environment, to get involved on campus, and to become a part of a new dynamic and caring community.
Rooms are arranged suite-style, with two residents sharing a room, and two rooms sharing a bath.
Prairie Hall has a multifunction room, Learning Resource Center, classroom, and 24-hour computer lab. Students living in this University Housing hall have in-room network access and work, study, and social lounges. Local phone and basic cable TV services are included.
