John Mason Peck Hall is a classroom building that also houses several departments of the College of Arts and Sciences. These departments include Anthropology, Political Science, History, Sociology, Social Work, English, Foreign Languages and Literature, and Philosophy. Our Foreign Languages Department offers Spanish, German, French, and Russian. A state-of-the-art language lab is located on the second floor. Peck Hall also houses a wide variety of academic support services. New and continuing students who have not declared their major receive academic advising each semester in Academic Counseling and Advising. Students take placement tests, can enroll in classes to strengthen particular skill areas, obtain tutoring services, or practice their computer skills in labs, classes, and services provided by Instructional Services.
