A visit should have a clear instructional purpose; e.g., students should have topics they are ready to research. General handouts have been prepared for many library resources and services and are distributed at the discretion of the Instruction Librarian based on the needs of the group.
Following the Lecture/Demonstration
Students may (depending on time, usually no more than an additional thirty minutes) use the Instruction Classroom and look up their resources. The Instruction librarian or staff member remains to help them as needed. Students can also use the PCs located throughout the building.
After the Instruction Session
A centralized place to meet at a table outside the Instruction Room may be possible. There is a place to store personal items. The instruction scheduler will make arrangements if requested. If advance reservations are not made, the availability of a centralized area is on a first-come, first-serve basis. The Library assumes no responsibility for the security of items left unattended.
