To use the terminals in the Library and in Academic Computing Labs, students need to login using their SIUE e-ID username and password. An e-ID is the part of an e-mail address that precedes @siue.edu. For example, in the e-mail address firstname.lastname@example.org, the e-ID would be abc123.
To log on to the computers enter your e-ID username and password in the spaces provided. Make certain that you are logging on to the CAMPUS option.
Please note that you need to log off these computers when you are finished. Failure to log off might result in other people being allowed access to your files or search history. Log off by clicking on the Start button in the lower left hand corner and selecting the "Log Off" icon.
If you have not recently modified your e-ID password, you must change it prior to accessing the computers. Passwords can be changed from any computer not requiring an e-ID login (such as the Library Research stations) by accessing http://www.siue.edu/e-ID. Select the "I know what my password is and I want to change it" option, click the "Continue" button, and follow the directions on the subsequent pages. Once your password has been changed, you will immediately be able to logon to any computer requiring an e-ID.
Problems with e-ID logins and password changes should be directed to the Information Technology Service's Help Desk at (618) 650-5500. If you are not affiliated with SIUE and do not have an e-ID, assistance is available at the Library's Information Desk.
