Collaborative learning and technology have transformed higher education in ways that could not have been imagined when the Library was created. The Campaign seeks gifts to convert outmoded space into a Learning Commons with group learning rooms, which are critical to students and faculty as they conduct research, share ideas and develop academic projects across the curriculum.
Creation of a Learning Commons and group learning rooms produces a real-time interactive library laboratory that teaches information literacy, supports collaboration and nurtures scholarship in a technology based, real-world setting.
Funding for these enhancements directly impacts the Library’s capacity to respond to the collaborative needs of an increasingly talented and technologically- sophisticated student body.
