This session will explore how RSS-enabled technologies such as blogs, wikis, and podcasts can easily be integrated into classes to add value to the Blackboard features. Presenter: Professor Raymond Schroeder, Director, Office of Technology-Enhanced Learning, University of Illinois at Springfield

Ray Schroeder is Professor Emeritus of Communication, Director of the Office of Technology-Enhanced Learning (OTEL) at the University of Illinois at Springfield. He has taught more than two dozen online classes. As Director of OTEL he is dedicated to faculty development and pedagogical support of the online initiative. Schroeder has numerous national conference presentations and publications in the area of online learning and the application of technology to enhance the learning process. He has published the popular Online Learning Update blog for the past half dozen years. Schroeder is a Sloan Consortium Distinguished Scholar in Online Learning 2002-2003, recipient of the 2002 Sloan-C award for the “Most Outstanding Achievement in ALN by an Individual,” and University of Southern Maine “Visiting Scholar in Online Learning” 2006-2008.
