| Louis H. Sullivan Society The Louis H. Sullivan Society is a giving society of the Friends of Lovejoy Library. The Society is named for Louis Sullivan, an influential architect who is often referred to as the “father of modernism”. He is also widely viewed as the creator of the skyscraper and the mentor of Frank Lloyd Wright. Lovejoy library contains one of the largest collections of his architecture in the world. Membership The Louis H. Sullivan Society is open to individuals who contribute $1,000 or more annually to the Friends of Lovejoy Library. Donations may be made in one annual payment or in pledge payments throughout the fiscal year. Donors may designate their contribution to an existing endowment or the Library’s development fund. Members are invited to special events sponsored by the Library throughout the year. |
