Interdisciplinary Collaborations and How to Find Them

This session will explore aspects of interdisciplinary research (IR) and team science (TS). Discussion points will include the science of team science (SciTS), the nature of IR collaborations, collaboration readiness factors, team composition rules, cross-disciplinary communication, and funding to support interdisciplinary team science. The role of researcher networking (RN) tools in finding collaborators will also be presented with a focus on how researcher networking has changed over time. Also presented will be an overview of current RN platforms and new directions for the future of researcher networking.
