Director of the Center for Plant and Life Sciences , St. Louis Community College, St. Louis, MO. Coordinates the district's efforts in the plant and life sciences, works closely with the local and state life science organizations to develop needed programs in workforce development to meet the needs of the growing industry. May of 2006 - Present

Senior Project Associate II - Biotechnology , St. Louis Community College, St. Louis, MO: Working with the college's biotechnology program since it's inception in 2000, he served as a liaison between the program and the local, state and international industry. June 2000 - May 2006

Agriculture Instructor , Maries R-II Schools , Belle, MO: Taught agricultural science courses in a two-teacher program. While at Maries R-II Dr. Norris authored or co-authored $175,000 in grants allowing a program in a high school of 200 to have a state-of-the-art embryo transfer facility, greenhouse (½ traditional and ½ hydroponics), and an aquaculture facility. In 1997 Norris was named by the National FFA Organization as the National Agri-Science Teacher of the Year, and also had a student named as the National Agri-Science Student of the Year that same year. Assistant Professor , Southern Arkansas University, Magnolia, AR: Taught a number of courses in production agriculture and agricultural education, served as the manager of the teaching farm, coach for the livestock judging and beef show team, and advisor to the Collegiate Rodeo Team and Collegiate FFA.

Authored $679,487 National Science Foundation (NSF) grant, entitled the "Bio-Bench Project." Awarded July 15, 2008 and runs through June 14, 2011.

On-Site coordinator for the National PAS Conference, March 2006. The conference played host to over 750 post-secondary agriculture students from 17 states.
