The LINC 2011 Organizing Committee is proud to welcome

National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) at the U.S. Department of Agriculture
. Roger's talk will focus on NIFA (National Institute of Food and Agriculture) - it's mission and role in promoting research in food and agriculture in a growing and demanding world. It will be a great opportunity for scientists and administrative leaders in the STL region to gain a better understanding of how the USDA will address the grand challenges of the global society as described in the NRC report on "The New Biology for the 21st Century".
LINC offers the rare opportunity to hear from and interact with a range of
federal and state program representatives from the
National Science Foundation (NSF), the
National Institutes of Health (NIH), the
Institute of International Education (IIE), the
Illinois Humanities Council (IHC), and the
Missouri Department of Transportation (MODOT).
Community Partners from the St. Louis bi-state region will also offer their experience and expertise to attendees wishing to develop their projects in research, education, and community outreach.
