The mission of NIFA (National Institute of Food and Agriculture) is to promote research in food and agriculture in a growing and demanding world. Dr. Beachy's address will help scientists and administrative leaders in the STL region gain a better understanding of how the USDA will address the grand challenges of the global society as described in the NRC report on “The New Biology for the 21st Century."
