About LINC

The Midwest Regional Outreach, Science, & Scholarship Summit: Leadership in Interdisciplinarity, Networking & Collaboration (LINC) is intended to facilitate faculty research activities and stimulate broad-based increases in sponsored research and scholarship, interdisciplinary collaborations, and institutional partnerships in the St. Louis region (LINC was previously known as the Metropolitan St. Louis Grants Conference). The LINC summit will take place over the course of three days, and will include updates on funding trends from federal agencies, informative sessions on research funding opportunities in science and the humanities, interdisciplinary mechanisms, proposal development, policies, practices, and networking opportunities. This conference will provide a service to faculty members seeking research tools, information, and resources available on a campus-wide, regional, and global scale. LINC will be jointly hosted by Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and Saint Louis University on February 2, 2009; by Washington University in St. Louis on February 3, 2009; and, by University of Missouri - St. Louis on February 4, 2009.
