What is St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store?

St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store provides clothing, household goods, and necessities to the Illinois Metro-East area.  Volunteers assist with sorting donated items, arranging the displays, helping clients, and other duties.  Occasionally, volunteers are asked to assist with Cosgrove Soup Kitchen, which is located in the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store building.

St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store is located on State Street in East St. Louis, Illinois.  St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store is part of Catholic Urban Programs which services the southern 22 Illinois counties.

  • Participants need to wear suitable clothing and walking shoes in the store.
  • Transportation provided to St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store in East St. Louis, Illinois
  • Volunteers meet in Parking Lot B
  • FREE . . . however, advance registration is required

Become involved in one-day and extended community service projects. These projects allow you to explore and become involved in the community, meet new people, and gain community service hours toward completion of the Student Leadership Development Program.
