Tri-City Youth Compact

Shekila Smith, SIUE Graduate Advisor Coordinator (sheksmi@siue.edu)

Kim Allen, SIUE Student Coordinator (kimalle@siue.edu)

Volunteer to make a difference in the lives of the youth in Fairmont City, Washington Park, or E. St. Louis, Illinois by participating in these volunteer projects.

Our mission is to serve the students of Fairmont City, East St. Louis, and Washington Park by providing quality educational programs and events throughout the school year. We also allow SIUE students a chance to become actively involved  in serving neighboring communities.

The vision we have at Tri-City Youth Compact is to see the students we work with reach higher levels of education, become civically engaged, seek leadership positions, and find the ability to  work together in culturally diverse settings.

At Tri-City Youth Compact we organize, execute and facilitate weekend activities on campus and in the community for elementary to middle school students.  Through willing SIUE volunteers, faculty and staff, community collaborators, and grant funds provided by Illinois Campus Compact and the University of Illinois, we believe that all children can be successful, fulfill their dreams, and live up to their potential.
