The Gardens at SIUE

What is The Gardens at SIUE?
The Gardens at SIUE is a 35 acre public garden on the SIUE campus featuring woodlands, ponds, grasslands, and sculpture.  The Gardens at SIUE is a collaboration with Missouri Botanical Garden based on a Master Management plan for the following:  Formal Garden, Naturalistic Garden, Myer Arboretum, Event Lawn, Children's Garden, Amphitheater, and Visitor Center.

What Will the Volunteers Do?
In March, volunteers will assist with general clean up and preparing the Garden area and for the Arbor Day program scheduled for  April 25. On Arbor Day, volunteers will assist with tree planting, general clean up, and educational programs.

Meet:  Morris University Center - Goshen Lounge
Depart:  8:00 a.m.  Walk through Campus to volunteer work location Volunteer Project Finish Time:  Noon 

Arbor Day - Friday, April 24, 2009
Volunteers are needed from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at The Gardens at SIUE.

¨ Wear work clothes, sturdy shoes, and gloves.
¨ Meet in Morris University Center, Goshen Lounge (1st floor).
¨ Bring a Friend!
¨ Free... however, advance registration is required
