The Student Leadership Development Program now consists of three tiers (Bronze, Silver, and Gold). Each tier requires the completion of 8 leadership modules and 10 hours of volunteer service. Students may complete the modules in any order.
How to Join SLDP
The Student Leadership Development Program is open to all students regardless of major or class standing. To enter the Student Leadership Development Program students must complete an application, submit a current copy of their resume, and complete a pre-assessment (the pre-assessment will be coupled with a post-assessment that will help us evaluate the program on an annual basis). The application can be found here. Once we receive your application, you will receive an email with a link to the pre-assessment. Students are encouraged to attend the SLDP/Volunteer Services orientation program held at the beginning of each semester (see the included schedule for dates)SLDP TiersBronze Certificate (Tier One)
Must complete four required modules plus four elective modules

Must complete all requirements of the Bronze and Silver Certificates plus four required modules and four elective modules
Required Modules
Upon completion of a module, students will receive an email with a link to a module evaluation. This evaluation must be completed within two weeks of module attendance in order to receive credit for the module.
Students may complete any of the elective modules for any of the tiers. In order to offer the most current leadership topics the elective modules may change each year.
In addition to the modules, students must complete a total of 10 hours of volunteer service for each tier. Volunteer service is tied directly to a module in each tier. The Kimmel Leadership Center will provide students with a list of acceptable volunteer service opportunities that will fulfill the requirements of each tier. Students may also have additional opportunities approved on a case by case basis. Please contact the Kimmel Leadership Center for additional information.
How to exit SLDP
Students may exit the Student Leadership Development Program at any time (upon completion of any or all of the certificates). To exit the program, students must:
Exit applications must be completed by November 1 for fall semester and March 1 for spring semester. Verification of completed volunteer service and module attendance will occur during the exit interview.
