The Executive Board

The Executive Branch (overseen by the Executive Board) shall serve as the selective sounding board for the introduction of new policies and programs and serve as a communications network to the Senate.  The Executive Board shall act in the best interests of the Senate when the Senate is not in session.

Erik Zimmerman, President of the Student Body

Short Biography:

Erik Zimmerman is a senior Philosophy major. He is from Morton, Illinois. Since joining Student Government his freshmen year, Zimmerman has served on the Student Organization Advisory Board and External Affairs Committee. As a junior, President Zimmerman served the SIUE student body as Student Government Vice-President and as a sophomore, President Zimmerman served as a Student Senator. Zimmerman has also served as a Resident Assistant in Cougar Village.

Nasir Almasri, Organization Relations Officer

Short Biography: Nasir is very active on campus and is involved in numerous organizations. Last year he was the Prairie Area Council president, served on the University Policy and Budget Council, and was also an RHA Liaison. He is a current member of the Muslim Student Association, the Arabic Club, and Intramural Football. Nasir is also an SIUE experience guide and a Meridian Scholar.

Short Biography: Andrew has been involved in student government at several colleges for over 5 years. He is a former aviation technician and Army blackhawk mechanic who is now pursuing his bachelors degree at SIUE. He is also the owner operator of the Ebox, located in the MUC by Starbucks.

Victoria Mizel, Student Secretary

Short Biography:
Originally from South County in St. Louis, her family lives in Edwardsville now. Her birthday is November 24 and she has a brother 14, who is about to go to high school. She also has a sister, 17, who is about to go to college. Victoria has two dogs, Tuck and Bear, and is getting married this coming summer.
