Membership Forms

Are you an incoming student or someone who wants to get involved with Student Government?  If so, apply for one of our committees!  Applications are collected year-round as positions become available throughout the semester.

Organization Forms & Award Applications

Kimmel Office Space 

The Kimmel Leadership Center is accepting applications for office cubicle spaces and locker storage spaces available for distribution to student organizations. Applications and the policy are attached to this message and  located in the self help area in the Kimmel Leadership Center. Whether you currently have office space or a locker in the Kimmel Leadership Center or would like to have space, the organization's president must file an application for space in the Center by no later than 4:00 pm on Thursday, October 14, 2010.  Any organization that currently has assigned office space or a locker and does not reapply, will forfeit its space and will be required to vacate the space by the designated time set forth by the Kimmel Leadership Center.

Program Awards

Each year Student Government presents a maximum of four awards to student organizations who present a program that improves campus life.  Descriptions of the awards can be found below.  Applications can be downloaded by clicking the links below. Winners will be announced at the Kimmel Leadership Awards Ceremony.   

General Criteria
This document contains general criteria for all of the monetary awards.

Most Diverse Program of the Year
This award recognizes a student organization program that has a diverse appeal.  The award will be judged upon the scholastic value of the program, attendance, and other characteristics as deemed fit by the awards committee.

Traditional Program of the Year
This award recognizes a student organization program that has been sponsored for three years or more, and will be based upon diversity, attendance, educational value, among other characteristics, as deemed fit by the awards committee.

New Program of the Year
This award recognizes a student organization program that has been sponsored for less than three years, and will be based upon diversity, attendance, educational value, among other characteristics, as deemed fit by the awards committee.

Educational Program of the Year
This award recognizes a student organization program that has scholastic appeal.  The award will be judged upon the scholastic value of the program, attendance, and other characteristics as deemed fit by the awards committee.


Election Forms

The application period for the 2010 Student Government elections is now open!  The positions of president, vice president, student trustee, and 12 senator positions are available. If you are interested in running for the 2010-2011 Student Government, please review the guidelines and fill out the following forms.  Though the forms are electronic, they must be printed and returned to the Student Government office by the deadline.  If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact Brian Mcleod, Election Commissioner, at bmcleod@siue.edu.
