Certificate in Student Organization Leadership

This tier of the leadership program is open to all members of registered student organizations at SIUE. Students must complete at least eight sessions for the student organization tier (noted with an (O) in the schedule). These advanced leadership topics will foster improved communication within organizations and help all of our organizations be the best they can be!

Elective Modules

Students may complete any of the elective modules for any of the tiers. In order to offer the most current leadership topics the elective modules may change each year.

Service Component

In addition to the modules, students must complete a total of 10 hours of volunteer service for each tier. A maximum of two hours of service per tier may be completed on campus (this includes The Gardens at SIUE and on-campus events). The remaining eight hours per tier must be completed at non-profit community agencies. If you have questions about whether a service site would be approved for volunteer hours, contact Michelle Welter.
