Up 'til Dawn is a student group that raises money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. St. Jude is the leading research and treatment center for childhood cancers in the world, and treatment is FREE to all patients! St. Jude is dependent on donations for its operations, and it costs over $1 million per day to operate. Since its opening in 1962, St. Jude has helped raise the survival rate of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, the most common childhood cancer, from 4% to 94%. St. Jude is doing great things!
A group of students educate the entire student body on St. Jude and recruit teams of five or more to participate in Up ‘til Dawn. Teams fundraise through various side events and then come together to celebrate their accomplishments at the Up ‘til Dawn Celebration event. Students sacrifice a night of sleep at this event in honor of the patients and their families that have many sleepless nights at the hospital.
Up 'til Dawn Letter Writing will be Tuesday, November 29. 2011 in the Student Activity Center of the Fitness Center. Food, games, entertainment, and prizes will be available. You just need to show up with the names and addresses of family, neighbors, teachers, friends, etc
