Adviser Requirements
While the Kimmel Leadership Center provides general advisement and direction to officially recognized student organizations, each student organization is required to have an Adviser in order to be officially recognized by the Student Senate and to maintain registered, active status on campus.
The choice and acceptance of an Adviser is a voluntary association that depends
primarily upon the group and the Adviser.
General Adviser Requirements:
Advisers must be a full time faculty or staff member
Advisers are primarily selected by the organization; others are assigned the responsibility as a part of their job
Some student organizations have co-Advisers
In addition to their University required and qualified Advisers, some student organizations have non-University related Advisers assigned to them (i.e., religious organizations, fraternities and sororities, and honor societies)
