The SIUE advanced digital desktop telephone system is the Nortel Meridian M2616 digital telephone set. The M2616 provides seven programmable feature keys that may be programmed in various ways depending upon the needs of the user. Two additional 22-button systems can be added to this set to provide a total of 44 additional programmable feature keys. The most popular use of these programmable keys are:

  • Line Appearances - To show (and answer) calls coming in on someone else's phone.
  • Auto Dial - Program these keys to automatically dial frequently used numbers.
  • Additional "Roll Over" Lines - If needed, you can have extra lines for incoming calls to ring on.

This system is also configured to support all the standard SIUE desktop system features.
