The Instructional Design & Learning Technologies (IDLT) Center is dedicated to assisting with teaching, learning, and technology integration at SIUE. Listed below are some of the areas and methods for supporting the University's students, faculty, and staff.
Members of the IDLT Center are trained in instructional design and in the development of instructional materials. IDLT Center members help faculty assess their preparedness to teach online. We also offer consultations, resources, training, and services for shifting course formats at SIUE. Our team supports faculty throughout course design, development, and delivery and helps faculty integrate technology into a variety of course formats. Visit the Teaching page for more detailed information on the services and resources we provide.
Students often have questions and concerns about the online learning environment and the tools they are required to use in their courses. IDLT Center members help students assess their readiness for online learning and help them use the tools necessary for their studies. Our team provides resources that outline strategies for success in a hybrid or online course as well as troubleshoot technology issues students may encounter. The Learning page details the support we provide to SIUE students.
IDLT Center members are trained in both the pedagogical benefits of technology integration and the troubleshooting of technological problems. Our team provides information and resources to assist faculty and students in both choosing and using technology effectively. The Technology page provides detailed information that can assist with these tools.
