The Banner Enterprise Information System is comprised of the following components:
Supports a full range of functions necessary for student administration including: creation of catalogs; data collection for scheduling of classes, admissions, and registration; financial aid, accounts receivable; and academic history and degree audit reporting. The Banner Student System benefits many of our administrative offices including Admissions, Registrar, Bursar, and Financial Aid. Housing, Parking, Dining Services, Library, Textbook Services, Fitness Center, Health Services, Academic Advising, etc. also benefit by way of data feeds.
Provides the functionality necessary for human resource administration including: employment and compensation; labor budgeting; position control and staffing; EEO, W-2 and 1099-R reporting; payroll processing; health and safety administration; administration of benefits and leaves.
Provides operational reporting for the Banner Student and Banner HR systems. ODS simplifies reporting by taking a snapshot of the data from the Banner System and creating views that are organized by business functionality; i.e. Student, Bursar, Admissions, Financial Aid, and HR. The system is primarily accessed through the use of the Argos: Enterprise Reporting Tool.
Provides functionality that enables SIUE staff and faculty to develop and/or execute reports against the Banner data available in the Banner Operational Data Store (ODS). These reports may range from simple ad hoc queries to advanced dashboards with interactive charts.
Provides online viewing/printing of reports produced by the SIUE Banner and related systems to authorized SIUE faculty and staff through an easy to use web interface. Reports may be viewed as PDFs or standard text files depending upon the specific report.
