Expected Results
- After successfully completing the Summer Bridge Program, students will:
- Learn how to use textbook reading strategies to enhance reading comprehension and note taking skills
- Review basic writing skills for college papers
- Review algebraic concepts in preparation for College Algebra
- Meet and begin to develop a working relationship with faculty, staff, teaching assistants, tutors, and an adviser
- Learn how to work in groups for studying and problem solving
- Learn how to access campus resources and services
- Become familiar with the campus
- Develop a basic understanding of graduation requirements and university policies and procedures
- Develop self-confidence, friendships, and a sense of belonging
