Through a competitive process, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville will award up to 40 new undergraduate freshman & transfer international students a special reduced tuition rate to recognize their outstanding academic achievement. This special rate will be awarded for fall 2013 (beginning in August 2013). The award will be good for up to 8 undergraduate semesters.
Award Value: Over four years, the award will have a value of approximately $28,000 when compared with traditional undergraduate international student tuition rates. An awardee will be required to present a bank statement showing a minimum balance of just under $20,000 to meet immigration requirements and to be issued an I-20.

Qualification: Awardees will be selected, through a competitive process, based on overall high school grade point average, TOFEL or IELTS scores, and /or outstanding talent.
Applying for the Award: There is no separate application required to be considered for this scholarship and there is no application fee for undergraduate international applicants. Interested students should complete an international undergraduate application. Required items for an undergraduate application are:

Notification of awards begins: April 30, 2013 (will continue until all awards are accepted and verified)
