The Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion at SIUE is involved in the following diversity initiatives: Diversity Film Series, University Diversity Council, and DFI (Diversifying Faculty in Higher Education in Illinois)
Human Resources serves the university by providing programs and services that support the University’s mission and core values of citizenship, excellence, integrity, openness and wisdom.
The Diversity Education Project (DEP) evolved from an emerging commitment on the part of SIUE’s School of Education, Health and Human Behavior to bringing diversity education to the forefront.
EOA is dedicated to the enhancement of a quality working and learning environment for our employees, students and others by ensuring the University meets its moral and legal obligations as an affirmative action and equal opportunity employer.
Safe Zone’s mission at SIUE is to develop a campus community of allies and provide support to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) students, faculty, and staff with the ultimate goal of developing SIUE as a safe and welcoming place for LGBT people.
SIUE is constantly searching for new ways to bring faculty from overseas as well as create opportunities for SIUE faculty to teach abroad either leading Study Abroad groups or participating in scholarly travel opportunities.
