The Use of Case Studies to Enhance Teaching and Scholarship

Sponsored by the Office of Academic Innovation and Effectiveness

Good case studies allow students to examine what they know and determine what they need to learn. They pose challenging questions that have inherent appeal to students. Rehg and Santanello will describe how they use cases in the classroom that get students to enhance their critical thinking skills. Practical advice on writing cases and information about online case study sites that offer publishing opportunities will also be shared.
