WORKSHOP

Faculty Dialogue on Teaching Online Courses

Sponsored by the Office of Academic Innovation and Effectiveness

Anyone who has taught online or plans to teach online knows that every course can be improved through critical reflection and revision.  Even if the course materials live forever in cyberspace, they only come to life for students through deliberate faculty action, both in course design and delivery.  This session will explore, through faculty participation, how to improve our online courses.  Those who have taught online will be asked to bring their best practices as well as remaining challenges.  Faculty preparing to teach online can share their fears and expectations. Faculty will also discuss interest in continuing to get together for ongoing discussions about teaching online. Staff from the Instructional Design and Learning Technologies Center will be on hand to answer technical questions.

Date:

Friday, October 18, 2013
Time: 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Location: University Club, Morris University Center
