The Illinois Education Research Council (IERC) Faculty Research Fellowship is a competitive fellowship to engage SIUE faculty in educational research aligned with the mission of the IERC: to support Illinois P-20 education policy making and program development. Individuals selected will be a faculty research fellow with the IERC for one academic year during which time the fellow will conduct a faculty-initiated education research study, using IERC data or data acquired by the fellow. The IERC will support the faculty member’s research through: 1) offering IERC expertise on Illinois education policy and quantitative/qualitative data analysis; 2) a course buy-out; 3) funding to travel to a state, regional, or national conference; and, 4) funding to attend the IERC symposium. The IERC encourages SIUE faculty to consider the Faculty Research Fellowship to expand and enhance their research activities while collaborating with experienced education researchers at the IERC.
