Many family-friendly activities can be found right here on campus. From summer camps to Give Kids a Smile Day, in which free dental exams are provided to children. Here are some of the opportunities at SIUE:
A Season for the Child
Sponsored by Friends of Theater and Dance, this features theater troupes from St. Louis interactively performing children’s stories.
Cougar Kids Saturdays
On several Saturdays throughout the school year, the Campus Activities Board sponsors activities for children and their families.
Give Kids a Smile Day
Every February, free dental treatments are provided to children ages 3-13 from underserved communities.
SIUE Bike Trails
Public biking and running trails around campus promote fitness and extend up to 6.2 miles.
SIUE Suzuki Program
Lessons are offered for children in violin, viola, and cello.
Summer Camps
A variety of sports and academic camps for kids from elementary through high school
The Gardens at SIUE
A half-mile long path passes through part of SIUE’s 35-acre public botanical garden. The Gardens carries the distinction of being one of four being named a Signature Garden by the Missouri Botanical Gardens.
The Sculpture Walk
A sculpture walk is held each semester displaying student-designed art work around campus.
University Museum
Throughout campus are exhibitions displaying SIUE’s collection of cultural objects.
