HIRING UNIT: SCHOOL OF NURSING
TITLE/RANK: NURSE ANESTHESIA INSTRUCTOR/LECTURER
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Periodically, the School of Nursing may have various openings throughout the year (AY 2013-2014 and Summer 2014) for various full time, non-tenure, academic year term instructor appointments and part-time, non-tenure, semester term appointments in Major teaching responsibilities in graduate programs in the area of Nurse Anesthesia at its Edwardsville campus. School of Nursing is CCNE accredited through 2018 and the Anesthesia Program is accredited by COA through 2020.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: A Master's degree in Nursing is required; doctorate preferred. Doctorate (PhD, EdD, DNS, DNSc, DNP) required for graduate faculty position. Teaching experience encouraged, but not required. Nurse Anesthesia clinical practice experience is required. RN and APRN licensure in Illinois and Missouri required.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT: Academic, non-tenure, term, percent of appointment varies.
SOURCE OF FUNDS: State
SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with training and experience.
