TITLE/RANK:   COORDINATOR OF INTERNATIONAL AND GRADUATE RECRUITMENT

HIRING UNIT:   OFFICE OF ADMISSIONS - ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:  The Coordinator of International and Graduate Recruitment will serve on a team of three individuals which will develop and implement graduate and international recruitment and admission strategies.  This includes the development of long term market cultivation strategies and recruitment relationships as well as the day to day implementation of direct recruitment and yield strategies and overall integrated marketing efforts.  This position will serve as a resource for evaluating international academic credentials.  The Coordinator will support academic departments in the development of ongoing implementation of cooperative international recruitment programs.  The incumbent will work collaboratively with International Student Programs and the Assistant Director of Graduate and International Recruitment on SEVIS and other federal reporting conducted by that office as well as international student orientation programs.  The Coordinator will be required to travel in support of the international recruitment plan. 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:  Minimum of 2 years of experience in higher education recruitment or student services and a Bachelor’s degree are required.  A Master’s degree in a related field is preferred as is specific demonstrated success in recruiting international or graduate students.  Experience with student information systems such as SCT Banner and CRM’s such as Hobson’s EMT is required.  Demonstrated knowledge of these specific systems is preferred.  Candidates will be able to obtain a valid passport.  F1 and J1 visa training or experience is preferred along with familiarity with SEVIS system.  The ability to speak more than one language fluently is a plus.  Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to travel internationally, make independent judgments under pressure, demonstrate an aptitude for accuracy and detail, be willing to work irregular hours, and demonstrate that they can work effectively with individuals from a variety of cultures.

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT:  Administrative staff, non-bargaining, continuing, 12 months, 100%

SALARY RANGE:  Commensurate with experience.
